Product Manager

Summary

 

(1)    Job Purpose: 

A.  Support making and implementing Strategy Plan for M&C and AWS package product lines

B.   Conduct market surveys, customer analysis and competitor analysis for strategic decision making.

C.   Collecting systematically and quickly strategic business information through various sources (telephone and face to face interviews, databases, internet, conferences etc…)

D.  Involvement and cooperation with global BU for global project.

E.   Product line management, i.e. product pricing position, new product launch & promotion, application study, product localization, etc.

F.   Develop new initiative through competitor analysis and customer demand.

G.  Support Marketing Director in marketing operations including office administration.

 

(2)    Goals and Objectives: Several bullet points for setting performance objectives.

 

List the essential functions and major activities in order of their importance.

A)   WWW M&C product line management and new product launch;

                  i.          Drive implementation of product pruning and product substitution within China;

                ii.          Drive new R&D products and engineering products together with global, China R&D;

B.   Identify, prioritize, follow-up and hand-over new market opportunities in existing markets based on market, customer and competitor analysis (developing and qualifying ideas/new leads) and leverage application/solution to expand current business;

C.   Derive product requirements from the market trends and requirements based on the industry sector Demands, work with R&D team to convert into products/solutions for pull-through sales;

D.  Arrange and support sales training in product knowledge, customer support for first application, product presales documents;

E.   Support marketing mangers on strategic projects from M&C and solution side.

F.   Support and assist municipal/TEST sales to follow Analytics instrument projects in Water and Waste Water through coordination between Company China and Analytics.

G.  Full responsible for strategy and product management for AWS package business including booster package, HVAC Package as well as Fire Protection package

H.  Conduct VOC, develop product concept and marketing specification based on local customer demand

I.     Working together with engineering team on NPD and value proposition development

J.    Support sales team to promote Packages to customers/dealers

K.  Train the sales team for Package related products

 

Part 2.     Describe the Person

 

A)     Minimum professional and educational background desired (include years of experience).

 

L.   Bachelor or master degree in mechanical, environmental engineering or fluid mechanics

M.  At least 5-year experience in related industrial field, familiar with mechanical product, water process. Good knowledge about waste water pump and mixer would be preferred

N.  2-year experience in marketing department for product line management

O.  Strongly interested in new technologies, processes and industrial products

P.   Strong analytical skill and good affinity with figures and analytical concepts and tools

Q.  Superior communication skills and demonstrated ability to translate strategic plans into actionable, measurable goals.

R.   Available to travel in China and abroad.

S.   Good written and spoken English.

T.   Proficient in Microsoft power point, excel, word

A)   High level expertise of various HVAC Systems and Control

B)   High level understanding of Control Systems

C)   3-D Modeling background

D)   Manufacturing Experience
