Development Engineer
Part 1: Describe the Position
Summary:
Assist product development project managers with calculations, detailed analysis, testing and production of Pro/E models and drawings.
A) List the essential functions and major activities in order of their importance.
l Design Transportation food and beverage pump components and/or systems using standard design procedures.
l Conduct component and/or system analysis using computer simulation and/or laboratory testing.
l Prepare reports and recommend future actions for specific aspects of development projects
l Using established procedures & working under supervision, performs assigned tasks.
l Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required.
l Work may be routine with detailed instruction, progressing to varied and somewhat difficult in character.
l Manage, with guidance, specific aspects of larger development projects.
l Design complex laboratory experiments and supervise others in conducting tests
l Analyses failure product and look for root cause and suggest solution
l Participate as technical representative on interdepartmental teams (e.g. – Black Belt projects, Pro/E Users’ Group, etc.).
Part 2. Describe the Person
A) Minimum professional and educational background desired (include years of experience).
l BS Degree in mechanical Engineering or electric
l 3 – 5 years minimum in product design.
l Knows & uses the fundamental concepts, practices & procedures of particular field of specification.
l Preferred knowledge in Pro/E and related tool suites must have experience with other CAD systems.
l Knowledge of machining, molding, fabrication and assembly processes.
l Knowledge of international & industry standards.
l Communicate in English
